The Blackwood Valley Region includes the historic towns of Balingup, Bridgetown, Boyup Brook, Greenbushes and Nannup. Home to farmers since the late 1800’s, it has a long and colourful past as a food and wine producing area. The area is renowned for its rolling hills and misty valleys. Warm summers, cool autumns and crisp winters are all conducive to producing great wines and wonderful food. Our quiet country towns encourage small growers and producers who are dedicated to quality.
This year’s featured local produce will include cheese, gourmet sausages, extra virgin olive oils, table olives, tarts, cakes, honey, winter vegetables, cider, beer and a large variety of the region’s finest wines. Freshly cooked meals by local chefs will also be available on site. To see exactly who is attending, please visit our Stallholders page.
A comprehensive selection of food produced in the area will be available at Taste of the Blackwood. Try it for free and then purchase some to take home, once you have confirmed just how good it is!
While you are testing out what is on offer, take the time to talk with our small producers. They are a varied group of people who share a commitment to providing you with their best. You will be pleasantly surprised by how friendly they are and how much you can learn about their products.
Emporium Bistro will be turning local ingredients into fabulous freshly cooked food in the kitchen. You can relax and enjoy a meal, a snack, or just a quiet glass of wine in our cosy seating area.
Don’t forget to take part in one of our free workshops and presentations!
